How to Cost Effectively Replace a Single Marquee Panel

We’ve all been there. A sudden gust of wind, a clumsy pole manoeuvre, or an over-enthusiastic guest leads to that heart-sinking rip. Your first thought is probably, “There goes the whole tent.”

Here’s the good news: It doesn’t. Unlike many competitors who sell expensive replacement PVC parts, our marquees are designed with a modular system. All of our panels come in 2m sections. If one gets damaged, you simply swap out that specific 2m slice. It’s faster, easier, and—most importantly—a fraction of the cost of a full replacement.

Step 1: Assess the Damage

Before you reach for the duct tape (which leaves a sticky residue you’ll regret later), identify which section is affected. Check the seams to ensure the track or bungee system hasn’t been compromised.

Step 2: Order Your Replacement

Because our panels are standardized and all listed in the spare parts section of our website. We are also the cheapest marquee spares on the web.

  • Identify the panel type: (e.g., Windowed, Plain, or Doorway).
  • Confirm the height: Ensure you’re matching your existing leg height.
  • The Cost Benefit: While competitors might charge much more for a marquee panel we want to make sure it’s cost effective to repair your investment.

Step 3: Remove the Damaged Panel

Most of our systems use a simple “bungee” attachment.

  1. Unfasten the wall-to-leg attachments.
  2. Slide the panel out of the keder track (if applicable) or unhook the bungees from the eave rail.
  3. Pro Tip: Wipe down the poles while the panel is off—it’s the easiest time to do it!

Step 4: Slot in the New Section

Align your new 2m panel with the framework. If you’re using a track system, start from the top and slide the bead down smoothly. If it’s a bungee system, start from the top corners and work your way down to the bottom to ensure even tension.

Step 5: Tension and Secure

Once the new panel is in place, fasten the side toggles or Velcro strips to the legs. You’ll notice the new PVC might be slightly stiffer than the weathered panels; this is normal and will settle after a few hours in the sun.
