When looking to buy a marquee the first thing to do is decide what size(s) of marquee you need, only then can you decide which range of marquee is most suitable for you.
There are several ways of calculating this:
- Measure your garden. If space is limited your guest list may be restricted by the maximum size of marquee able to fit in the space.
- If your garden is an awkward size then consider using more than one marquee connected together to cover the space. Multiple marquees can take a little more thought in planning a successful party but please contact us, we’re marquee specialists and are here to help.
The following size guide shows the capacity (seated or standing) or each size of marquee. Size guides can vary greatly, this is due to the variety of ways a marquee can be used. For example a 6x12m marquee can seat 70-80 people at round tables but if you allow for buffet tables and/or a dance floor then the capacity is reduced. Which Marquee Framework Range Should You Choose?
While our marquee ranges look similar from the outside, their internal engineering is built for different uses. Use the tabs below to compare our Classic, Commercial, and Deluxe structures.
Classic Marquee Framework (Standard Specification)
Our entry-level Classic range features a robust 38mm/42mm galvanized steel pipe framework and built-in roof braces to prevent water pooling. It is purposefully designed without ground bars or eaves braces to remain lightweight, highly portable, and budget-friendly. Ground bars, eaves braves and gable uprights can be purchased as an optional extra.
Commercial Marquee Framework (Advanced Specification)
The Commercial range upgrades the structure for unpredictable weather and frequent assembly. While keeping the 38mm/42mm steel tubing, it adds critical structural reinforcements: a full perimeter ground bar system, corner eaves braces, and vertical gable uprights to prevent wind bowing.
Deluxe Marquee Framework (Ultimate Industrial Specification)
For ultimate peace of mind, our Deluxe range offers commercial-grade durability. It features massively upgraded 50mm/54mm thick steel pipes and additional leg braces. Crucially, the Deluxe range features a taller 2.35m leg height (providing a grander 3.4m apex clearance), making it ideal for staging, lighting rigs, and premium events.
Which PVC Specification Should You Choose?
All of our PVC covers are 100% waterproof, rip-stop, flame retardant, and feature seamless high-frequency welded seams. The key difference between each option is weight and overall thickness.
380gsm PVC Covers (Standard Specification)
Our entry-level 380gsm PVC is extremely manageable, making assembly and handling significantly easier. Despite its thinner gauge, it remains heavy-duty, 100% waterproof, rip-stop, flame retardant, and high-frequency welded for complete climate protection.
500gsm PVC Covers (Commercial Specification)
The mid-range 500gsm PVC offers the perfect balance between durability and ease of handling. Featuring extra thickness for added abrasion resistance and longevity, it retains all core properties: 100% waterproof, rip-stop material, flame retardancy, and high-frequency welded seams for professional grade use.
650gsm PVC Covers (Heavy-Duty Industrial Specification)
Our premium 650gsm PVC is our thickest and toughest cover material available. Built for maximum resilience against harsh weather, wind wear, and prolonged exposure. Like all our PVC, it is 100% waterproof, rip-stop, flame retardant, and bonded with high-frequency welded seams.
