Capacity Guide: How many people fit in a 4x7m?

Choosing the right size is essential for guest comfort. A 4x7m marquee provides 28 square metres of floor space. As a general rule of thumb for this footprint:

• Standing Reception: Up to 39–46 guests.
• Seated (Round Tables): 15–31 guests (allowing for circular tables and service space).
• Seated (Trestle Tables): Up to 14–28 guests in a traditional long-table layout.
• Buffet & Dance Floor: If you require a dance floor and buffet station, we recommend a maximum of 20–23 seated guests to maintain a spacious feel.

Our entry-level Classic range features a lightweight framework utilizing a 3-purlin roof design. To prioritize affordability and quick, easy assembly, this configuration is designed without ground bars but they can be purchased as an optional extra.

Best For: Occasional summer garden parties, short-term seasonal use, and sheltered outdoor locations.

Commercial Marquee Framework (Advanced Specification)

The Commercial range upgrades the structural core for unpredictable weather conditions and regular commercial deployment. It expands to a robust 5-purlin roof setup and introduces comprehensive reinforcements, including a full perimeter ground bar system, vertical gable uprights, and integrated roof braces.

Best For: Marquee hire companies, commercial venues, and installations requiring a heavier-duty framework left up for extended periods.

Professional 2.3m Tall Framework (Maximum Headspace)

While a Deluxe option isn't offered in our 4m collection, the Professional 2.3m Tall framework is our premium choice. It retains all the advanced structural features of the Commercial framework—including the 5-purlin layout, ground bars, gable uprights, and roof braces—but increases the leg height to 2.3m (achieving a grand 3.3m total apex clearance).

Best For: Premium hospitality events requiring enhanced vertical clearance, internal staging, complex lighting setups, or seamless alignment with taller entryways.

Which PVC Specification Should You Choose?

All of our PVC covers are 100% waterproof, rip-stop, flame retardant, and feature seamless high-frequency welded seams. The key difference between each option is weight and overall thickness.

380gsm PVC 500gsm PVC 650gsm PVC

380gsm PVC Covers (Standard Specification)

Our entry-level 380gsm PVC is extremely manageable, making assembly and handling significantly easier. Despite its thinner gauge, it remains heavy-duty, 100% waterproof, rip-stop, flame retardant, and high-frequency welded for complete climate protection.

Best For: Occasional summer garden parties, rapid setup/takedown, and budget-conscious buyers seeking dependable waterproofing.

500gsm PVC Covers (Commercial Specification)

The mid-range 500gsm PVC offers the perfect balance between durability and ease of handling.
